So I think that any Five Nights at Freddy's fan with a passing interest in the lore has seen at least a few theories on this scene. However, despite being hotly debated, I still think we've missed some crucial details.
The Security Breach Post-It note family scene has been widely considered to be depicting the Afton Family. There are multiple clues that point in this direction, not least the post it note which appears to read 'You are Afton Family'
But what can it tell us about these characters?
First, we have the obvious. The clearest and most obvious link is the sister character, who looks incredibly similar to Baby. We know Baby to be possessed by Elizabeth, as shown by Sister Location. One small, often missed detail is that she is the only bot with exposed wires coming out of the back of her. This suggests that she may have been tampered with or is otherwise vulnerable, as bits of her inner workings are visible.
This bot is also the only one with coloured side panels - which are a bright red. Some may put this down as an aesthetic design choice but since this is unusual across the Pizzaplex, I think this may be a clue that she may pose a danger in future DLC/entries. Red as a colour is classically associated with danger, after all.
On to the figure at the head of the table, who has a more than passing resemblance to Ballora. This character in Sister Location was strongly suspected to either represent or be the robotic version of Mrs. Afton. I think this is the game's way of confirming this. All in all, while the colours are the same, her character design is totally different. Her dancer ways appear to have gone to be replaced with a far more casual look. She now wears a dress with a puffy bottom half and a white collar. This detail is especially important as there are no other staff bots with a design like this, suggesting a deliberate choice on Steel Wool's part. The long skirt, with a dirty white ruffle trim, suggests that she may have got her hands dirty - something her position at the head of the table also hints at. The top half of her dress also shows small, pale blue lightning bolt markings, another hint to her having some level of power/influence in the pizzaplex. Lastly, her hair is now down as opposed to pinned up, suggesting she is more relaxed and uninhibited than before.
Moving on to the more insightful bots - we have a figure wearing a striped top and propeller hat. Now, initially, I thought that this figure was actually evidence for Gregory being Balloon Boy because the Balloon World cabinet was in what is presumed to be Gregory's hideout. However, since then I've come to the conclusion that this figure is indeed Mike. However, rather than being the night guard, this outfit reveals him to be a regular worker at Freddy's. The colours of pale blue (meaning control), yellow (meaning hope) and red (meaning danger) each have their own symbolic meanings. We must assume as much as this colouring doesn't imitate any designs seen elsewhere in the series. Yellow is also the colour of Mike's keypad in Sister Location. However, his hat is relevant as it holds a red and blue propeller, like that of Balloon Boy. This tells us that Balloon Boy is related to Mike (something also shown by Balloon Boy being visible on Funtime Foxy's stage in Sister Location). This means the Balloon World cabinet shows Mike's journey - either floating along innocently and winning the game or following the glitches and triggering Sun and Moon's Eclipse mode. This represents Mike being infected by Glitchtrap. His hat is two colours: white and red, which I believe implies innocence and danger.
The most interesting of the figures, though, is William Afton. He is dressed in a magician's garb, with a black waistcoat, red bowtie and top hat. This is interesting in that, previously, Afton was associated with Springtrap exclusively - a bunny. However, his top hat shows something new. William is also, at least symbolically if not literally or allegorically, associated with Freddy and Music Man, who also wear top hats. The outfit suggests that William perceives himself as a magician. Additionally, fact that he is wearing a cape suggests he sees himself as a superhero.
Lastly, we have the least remarkable of the figures - a nondescript headless bot representing the Crying Child. There isn't much we can tell from this figure itself BUT it does act as more evidence for something. The bot being plain headless has dual meaning - it represents not only the bite but Crying Child's lack of identity. Where have we seen a faceless entity like this before?
Withered Bonnie.
In the words of FuhNaff, need more proof?
Take a look at this picture from the FNAF movie. The kid with bunny ears has a very familiar looking t-shirt…
That's right, it's Crying Child's t-shirt.
When you think about this, this tracks. In Sister Location, Bonnie's representative is relegated to BonBon, a hand puppet on Funtime Freddy. She is a literal extension of Freddy whose only role is to calm him down, she has no identity of her own. After that, Bonnie vanishes from the series. That's a definite lack of identity/presence, so it tracks. This corresponds with the ideas I outline in Trauma Theory.
With this in mind, we get the following information we hadn't got before.
Freddy, Music Man and Springtrap - William Afton
Bonnie - Crying Child
Balloon Boy, Foxy and Mangle - Mike
Ballora - Mrs. Afton
Baby - Elizabeth
You know what else is interesting? With the exception of Music Man, all these characters were buried in the Sister Location bunker. Balloon Boy even shares Funtime Foxy's stage.
And guess who is missing from both locations? Chica. To me, this is confirmation that Chica is not a biological member of the Afton family, which explains why Chica disappeared and went to her own location.
This leaves one outstanding question: Who is Chica? She is a mystery. Personally, I think Ruin or future DLC may well hold a chica origin story.
